Notice to Passport Applicants, Fees & Info

Pasport applications will not be accepted after 4:15 P.M. daily. Due to end of the month financial processing, we are unable to accept passport applications after 3:00 PM on the last working day of the month. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Effective January 5, 2015, we can no longer accept payments made payable to the Scott County Circuit Clerk's Office for U.S. Department of State passport application fees. This includes credit card payments. Payment method must be made directly to the U.S. Department of State. (Each passport application must have one payment in the form of check, money order,credit/debit card or cash, payable to the Scott County Circuit Clerk,and a second payment to the U.S. Department of State, which must be a check or moneyorder.) Exceptions CANNOT be made to this policy.

Standard process fees are: Adults ages 16 and over $135.00; Children under age 16 $105.00. Additional fees apply for expedited service. The following are generally required items to apply for a 1st time issued Passport: Fees, as listed above; Birth Certificate, which must contain a raised seal; valid drivers license or other form of acceptable ID; passport photo; completed application. Our office does not take passport photos.
