Clearly display your assigned 911 address number to ensure responders are able to locate your home in an emergency.  Scott County Ordinance 060627 (Section 7) is summarized below:

a)  Structures and residences within 50' of Roadway - assigned number should be displayed on front of residence in the vicinity of the door or entry.

b) Structures or residences over 50' from roadway - assigned number shall additionally be displayed on a post, fence, wall, mailbox, or some structure at the property line adjacent to the walk or access drive.

c) Number shall be of a color that contrasts with the background color and be of three inches of height or larger and shall be visible from roadway at all times of the year.

d)  Display only the assigned umber and remove any number that might be mistaken for or confused with the assigned number.

e) All residents are requested to post their assigned number and road name near their telephone for emergency reference.
