If you access cases just in the 33rd Circuit then you will be accessing real-time data, meaning once the information is entered in the Clerk's Office then it will be seen on Case.net. Jury Duty: If you received a summons for the Jury Trial scheduled on December 20th, 2024, that trial has been cancelled. Therefore, you do not need to appear.

Remote Public Access began July 1, 2023. Missouri Case.net will allow people to view public court documents from their personal computers, tablets, or cell phones. This works only for public documents filed on or after July 1, 2023. To comply with this new change, all filings with confidential information must be redacted upon submission to the Courts. According to the Official Website of the Department of Revenue, beginning May 3, 2023, residents of every U.S. state and territory will be required to present a REAL ID-compliant driver license or ID card, or another form of ID accepted by the Transportation Security Administration, to board federally regulated domestic flights. Also beginning May 3, 2023, individuals must present a REAL ID-compliant driver license or ID card, or another form of acceptable ID, to access federal facilities and to enter nuclear power plants. Passport Applications Fees and Information:
The Scott County Circuit Clerk's office is an official Passport Acceptance Agency. Our hours of acceptance are Monday-Friday, excluding holidays, 8:30am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00pm. No passport applications will be accepted after 4:00pm. Passport photos can be taken at the following locations:
-Walgreens
-CVS Pharmacy
-Walmart

You will need your Driver's License, Birth Certificate (with a raised seal), and at least two checks or money orders. Continuous Garnishment filers: Statement of Judgment Balance reports not received, within 200 days from the date of garnishment issue, will result in the immediate termination of the garnishment without notice.

What if I'm needing to inquire about my case or see when my court date is? Please check Missouri Case.net and search by your case number or name (litigant). Please keep in mind, it takes clerks 3-5 business days to process court dockets. If you call our office to inquire about your court date or case - you must have your case number!
How do I apply for the services of a Public Defender? You may go to their website and apply online: Missouri Public Defender
Is there a way that I can keep track of my case by email/text notifications? Yes! You may sign up for Track This Case through Missouri Case.net. See instructions above to get set up.
Can I file correspondence to the court for Traffic Tickets? Yes! You can sign up for Manage My Case through Missouri Case.net See above to get set up.
How do I post a bond for someone in the Scott County Jail? You will come to the Circuit Clerk's office during regular business hours. After hour postings, can be done at the Scott County Jail. If posting a surety bond, you will need to contact a bondsman. A list of qualified Bail Bond Agents can be found at Missouri Department of Insurance. All Bondsmen must submit a Special Affidavit of Qualification form with any surety bond posted. If posting a cash bond - we accept cash, cashier checks, and money orders only - which must be made out to Scott County Circuit Court.
How can I pay my court costs? There are several methods to pay your court costs:
In person - Our office accepts cash, money orders, and cashier checks. You must have your case number.
Debit or Credit Cards - You may pay online using www.courtmoney.com Click on Make A Payment and enter Form ID 1095. You must have your case number to proceed with the payment.
Mail - Our office only accepts money orders and cashier checks. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Make payments out to Scott County Circuit Court. You must include your case number. If mailing payments, please allow 5 - 7 business days for delivery.
Drop Box - There is a drop box on the south end of the Courthouse. If using the drop box, please make sure you address it to the Circuit Clerk's Office for prompt delivery. You must include your case number.
Please note that your tax refund may be taken for outstanding court costs due. In addition, if your court costs have been turned over to our Debt Collection Agency - You must contact the Debt Collection agency to make a payment. You must have your case number.
We do not have a fine schedule for traffic tickets. Clerks will not know the total amount due until the disposition has been completed.
How do I know if I've been called for jury duty? You will receive notification by the format that you selected on your jury questionnaire (email/text/mail). Pease remember to check our Facebook page or call the Jury Information Line 573-545-3050 for last minute cancellations of trials.
How do I file a Small Claims Petition? Small Claims Petition and Filing Fees can be found below, in the Downloadable PDF section, of this website.
Where do I go to file for a Rent & Possession? You must start by obtaining an Eviction Notice through the Sheriff's Department. Next, you can file for a Rent & Possession with our office. However, we do not provide any paperwork or forms. See above for filing fees.
How do I request a 96 Hour Commitment for someone? You may contact Bootheel Behavior Health for mental health treatment. The Suicide & Crisis Line phone number is 1-800-356-5395 or you may dial 988. You may contact the Sikeston office during their regular business hours at 573-471-0800. If inquiring after business hours, you may take them to any hospital to have them evaluated after 5:00pm.
How do I file for Guardianship and/or Conservatorship? You will need to contact an attorney. Our office does not provide paperwork or forms.
